I recon that telkom has upgraded everyone for testing purposes, once they are finished, they will revert everyone back to 1024k and then offer the new 4Mbit service at a higher rate.

But thats only my opinion, and no, i dont have proof, sorry.

Do you really think telkom will just upgrade everyone for free, permanently ? c'mon.
They would have announced it already.
The infrustructure barely copes with the 512 demand. i doubt they will brunt the costs of an upgrade.
Since when has telkom been a " from the goodness of our hearts" kind of company ?

You will be surprised. And yeah that's just your opinion. The fact that I heard it from someone in Telkom working with ADSL on a daily basis, puts my mind at rest.

If the trial proves successful Telkom intends replacing the DSL 1024 product with the new service.
