I have a 512 kb line...Any ideas if this is also going to be upgraded, or do you HAVE to upgrade to 1024 to get the 4mb/s speed

to get 4mbit you need to upgrade. Rumour has it should the 1024 to 4mbit upgrade be sucesfull 512 users wil be upgraded to 1024...

Yeah, what about the poor 194K -> 384K users. What power speeds they are getting.. yes it's double, but 1024K -> 4094K is four times as fast!

Pings dont change, the SPEED of the ping will be quicker, yes, and data transfer will be faster

512 will be upgraded to 1024. I know it for a fact. Don't know when, but it is going to happen.
I am now u/grading to 512k.... can I have yr address so that I can come 'see' you if I don't go up to 1024 ' imminently' ?

Sorry for the delay in proof. I'm not going to mention names or in which section he works, but my father in law who works for telkom told me so. He oversees all the ADSL installations in a specific area. I'm not beating around the bush. He honestly told me that all 512 users will be upgraded to 1mbit as well should the 1mbit to 4mbit upgrade be a success, which in his opinion is pretty much a fact. Happy?
