Hey guys,

I was talking to my friend as he got a new router as his old one broke. He has always been experiancing problems with his 4Mb line never synching at at the 4096 and instead synching at around 1500 - 2400 or so.

So I asked him to send me a screenshot of his ADSL line and I was shocked to see he has an upload speed of 512K. He said this is the 1st time he has seen this and it only started happening since he got his new router (Mega 105)

So have any of you guys ever had your upload speed faster than what its suppose to be?
Any idea why he might have a 512K upload speed?

His download is only 2048 ? With that Line attenuation he should be at 4096. Something not right.

A DS attenuation of 41? that's damn high? and his DS noise margin is 12, and probably fluctuating (as his sync keeps dropping) which isnt so high either

Yeah, sorry. 41 is high. Mine is only 34.5 ds and 17.5 us - noise 26.3 ds and 14 us. What is normally the acceptable for 4m line ?

The thing is that my line is pretty much the same as his with the noise margin and line attenuation. But I synch at 4096/384 perfectly and my download speeds are great!!

My line bearly ever drops as well.
