Ok... heres the thing.
I have the 3 GB TelkomInternet-AllAccess Advanced + DSL 512 Line
Now the DSL 384 Line costs R174.00 less.

And the way I see it, when I download something, it usually goes around 42Kbps, maby 52 Kbps if I'm lucky.

So wot's the diff? will my download speed decrease if I go the the DSL 384 Line?

and if so, how much will it decrease?

On 384, you can expect a max download speed in the region of 40 KBps, usually 38-40 KBps for me. The biggest difference is the upload speed - on a 384 line the upload speed is 128 kbps but on the 512 line the upload is 256 kbps, so if you are not going to be uploading very much and will be happy with abovementioned speeds then I'd say go for it :)

Also, you pay for a downgrade, but you don't pay for an upgrade ;)

ok, kewl. sounds gud then.

One last Q. Do you have to wait for a new line to be installed, or is it "instant" (instant by telkom syandards that is).
