56k Alternative

I always wondered why a 56k analogue leased line was created?
Why are there only 33.6 leased line?

Why hasn't telkom offered some sort of unlimited internet usage from a normal phone line for a fixed monthly rate?

A normal line that can only dial isps?

I would be willing to pay about R400 for my phone bill to get a sort 24/7 R7 plan

Not to mention that it's now R10+ per Infinitcall, but there are still a heck of a lot of places in the country that still don't have ADSL available.

I downloaded WarhammeroW off my old Dailup took me 4 weekends from 7PM - 11PM Friday to Sunday!!

Yeah those irritating line drops. But hey we've come a long way, I'm with iburst @ the mo - would've rather went for ADSL (could'nt wait six weeks for connection )

I thought ISDN & Sentech sub-forums were closed ages ago
