I don't get why there is even a limit on these things....

ok so one 3G device can do 3.6MB/s from modem to tower?
why not build the modem with 2 chips then? (like 2 modems running in parallel)
Oh, your Telkom line can do 4MB/s? and it's only needs a copper line between you and Telkom Box? well lets put 2 little copper cables there instead of one. heck, lets put a whole bunch of 'em in!
I know it's a bit more complicated then that, but if 1 cable can only send so many signals per second, why not use 8 different cables in parallel?
I mean, why not?
