Hi,

Does anyone know were i can get a decent screen protector for my screen in the jozi area, if possible the price as well ? my current screen protector is fading fast due to excessive use :) please anyone HELP ...

I also want a decent one.

I'm using these universal self cut protectors and believe me, they are rubbish. It protects the screen but it scratches so easily.

I'm looking for one in Cape Town area.

the standard one the phone came with...it's started fading after the 1st week...

Are you talking about the one full of printing - I found it unusable as a screen protector as the printing covers sections of the screen.

I can't believe it came with stupid black radial lines all over it. and an example of the express music menu. How lame. So I couldn't even use that. took it off in the first day.

yeah that same one! i didn't wanna take it out incase i damage the screen...
anyway is their a replacement screenprotector or similar around ?

There's a dude on bid or buy selling screen protectors for this phone. I ordered one. Will see how good it is when it arrives. The standard protector that came with the phone doesn't really bother me. It seems fine as a temporary solution.

A bit pricey for a piece of glad wrap isn't it...

Well my logic was that it covers the whole phone, so it's about the same price as a regular phone case, but light and invisible. But it turns out you were right, because it's terrible.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but it was just a big bubbly mess by the time I was done. I ripped it off and chucked it away.

Cut down an old iPhone screen protector to size and fitted that instead without any problems.

Interestingly, it does seem to be made of tough materials - my blade went right through the old iPhone screen protector when I was cutting it to size, but the Invisible Shield was like elastic, I almost couldn't cut through it. So maybe if you're intelligent enough to fit it properly, then it would make a decent phone protector.

You should've returned it. They claim that it comes with a lifetime warranty. The brief description of it also had me under the impression that it covers the whole phone, but if you read the detailed description it very vaguely states that it only covers the front surface of the phone. In my opinion it's false advertising.

It does cover the whole phone. They have one for only the screen, but I got the full body version. You get individual strips for each different surface. But I couldn't even get the front screen covered, so trying any of the other curved surfaces would have been an exercise in futility.

Their terms and conditions specifically exclude installation screw ups. So I've registered and packed it away (had to pull it out of the dustbin where I'd thrown it earlier!), I'll ask for a replacement after a month or so. In the meantime my modified iPhone protector is doing the job just fine.

My bad. I was under the impression that the full body protector you were referring to only covered the screen. It still seems a bit pricey to me. I got me one of those black silicone cases from vodashop. Its a Capdase one which covers the body of the phone excluding the screen. It's pretty cool and much less bulky than the standard cover that comes with the phone. I'm still looking for a decent screen protector though. I'd prefer a precut one as apposed to cutting one out myself. My cutting skills are questionable:rolleyes:
