5v Chargers

too thin for my needs. my uhm male plug is bigger :erm:

I recall getting an adaptor with one of my nokia chargers. It has a small pin but an adaptor to convert it to the bigger one. Fark I hope I still have all these goodies in a box somewhere. When I get home I'll check and post photos.

So it's a given then that cellphone chargers also produce 5v?

As far as I can tell they are all 5V. This looks like the Nokia type charger, also 5V. If you do find an old charger, the output specs are imprinted on the plastic on the bottom between the plug points. Then you can make sure it's 5V.

That one definitely looks like the right one.

Just check that the voltage on the charger is the same as the tablet then it should work.

Yea, going to source a couple of old Nokia chargers in the house today. The 4.5v charges them but it takes ages, I also don't like it not being the right voltage tbh.

Does a headphones jack fit into it?

The tip does yes as it's also 3.5mm but it's can't go in as the charger itself has a small pin that goes into the charger pin. I didn't push it in there for obvious reasons, I just saw it when I was looking to plug in the headset. They are situated next to each other.

That's where I got the Multi voltage charger thingy. I never thought of an Old Nokia charger. If I did I would have just bought that instead. Will not test with an old one first, obviously will make sure it's 5v first. Will update tonight.

Ok so had a look last night.

The old Nokia chargers are too thick and only 3.7v as opposed to 5v. The new Nokia chargers (thin ones) seems slightly thinner but it's to short...
I'll have to go to some kind of electronics store over the weekend and source something... bleh. O and the one tablet is just completely farked. Will have to chat to Takealot regarding the warrantee repairs. Anyone know how to go about that?
