i am gonna upgrade my tablet to windows 10

and wondering what will be better/faster

the 32 bit or 64bit

already checked the cpu does support 64bit

just wondering what will use the ram more efficiently
as 32is made for ram under 4gb
and 64 is for 4gb+

dont want to go for a 64bit,then the system use more ram etc and makes it lag more than it would on a 32bit
as it got a 32bit windows on it atm

sorry if i dont make scene :P

There is no reason you shouldn't be using a 64 bit OS these days, no matter how much memory you have.

Def 64 bit. 32 bit is so Windows 3.1

No reason not to run x64 even if you only have 2gb ram. 64bit apps will run faster.

Uh no. The only difference is allocateable memory. On exactly the same system with 3GB or less RAM, the speed will be the same.

Umm no. There will be a speed increase if the programs are compiled for 64 bit architecture. On Intel cpus there are also twice as many general purpose registers for 64 bit so computational power would be improved as well.

Granted if you only ran 32 bit apps on a 64 bit os then you would see no benefit.

Ah. Cool info.

I never ran 64 bit on less than 8GB RAM, so it's my own lack of experience.

you should probably go find out first if your tablet has a 32bit uefi or a 64bit uefi.
If it supports "connected standby" (or whatever it is now renamed to) then you may be stuck usin a 32bit verison of windows

Another thing to bear in mind is that win x64 uses more ram than x86. 2gb recommended for x64 and 1gb for x86. So if you only have 2gb and don't have money for more memory then stay on x86. (Otherwise you will have less free memory for other apps)

Otherwise get more memory (pref 4 or 8) and run x64

thats why i asked what to get,the tablet is limited to 2gb ram :(

dont want the 32bit to idl at 1gb use
and the 64bit at 1.5gb at idl

of they use the same it wont bother me,just want the one that will work best for a low amount of ram,
