I wouldnt recommend Screamer for online gaming though, there is lots of complaints on their Wimax board. I dont have a single night of lagless gaming. Latencies jumping up and down with packet loss through Screamer.

Screamer is aware of the problem, but too cheap to actually fix it.

I dont beleive he is Jannie, but I do think he has a vested interest.

I feel the same way as Dusk.
I did not appreciate the way the lie was told when there was the huge furor and Jannie personally said that we would be able to go back to the old packages in order to quieten down the chaos. At the time he did not specify that the statement only applied to long term contarct holders. It then turn out that there was a massive u-turn on this and only Current long term contracts would be honored and the short term contracts can go f... themselves.

It was because of this that I cancelled mine and became a product/supplier assassin.
It is easier to keep a person happy than repair the damage after a person becomes unhappy.

I have also seen some posts from Iburst people that insinuate they are either doing deep packet analysis or actively watching their proxy logs and seeing where people browse. Interesting from a legal pov as that is only supposed to be done as per a court order. So please do not mention ethics.......

So is that the sum total of you and dusk's input here? Just 100% negativity about iBurst at every opportunity? If you're no longer a client, then this really isn't your forum anymore. So you and dusk got bad service, so you were lied to. Boo farking hoo. Serias. Get over it. Everyone gets screwed over at one point or another in their lives. Pretty much everyone here has had issues with iBurst at point or another - that's why we're here. But we don't pollute as many threads as possible with the same old story, day in, day out. If iBurst is going to fold, it will do so of its own accord, because one by one the contract customers will refuse to sign up again because of poor service, the month by month lot will migrate to various ADSL solutions that are sprouting up everywhere. It won't be because of two or three members squatting here day in and day out and repeating themselves. You got bad service. I get it. I've had it too. Move on. I'm certain I am just farting in the wind here, and that you'll continue regardless, but yeah... whatever.

So an ISP cannot monitor the traffic on their network in order to provide a better quality of service?

An individual is monitored by court order and by a third party not the ISP. This is different to monitoring the peering links and determining as an example that the majority of traffic at a moment in time is to Windows update, or that there is a worm or trojan active. ISPs have multiple peering links and need to continuously monitor these links to improve the service levels.

My goal is to warn people against Iburst.
I will continue to do so. Jannie has not even had the decency to apologize.
Someone that does not respect me should expect none in return.

How do you calculate that the price was raised by 140%?
Might not be 140% but .........

Old
5 GB + 64k throttle = R 599
New
5 GB + 64k throttle = 445 + 199 = R 644

The fact that you call this cheaper is just either more lies or you admit to the reason why your billing dept fails so terribly ... they cant do the simplest of math .

Dusk has the integrity of our politicians. He has made wide ranging claims about other people posts but does not subject that same scrutiny to his own diatribe. Prove that diegoa is jannie (or else stop posting the accusation).

dusk :
Hahahahaha or he has been posting as diegoa all along as we suspect :P

Suspect aka I think it might be true but i dont claim it to be fact.
Please read up on definitions before saying i am accusing someone of something.

Once again my post gets deleted when i ask a legit question ...
This is service related queries , right ?

So as I was promised a service aka being able to keep the 64k throttled and I want to query why Iburst lied , why does my posts get deleted ?
i have done nothing wrong except query about lack of a service that i was promised ...

Normal social protocol does not justify referring to fellow humans as animals. It reflects poorly on the character of those making the statement and of those defending it. As Forrest Gump says: "Stupid is as stupid does."
<once again my posts gets deleted>

And spreading lies to people makes for a better statement especially since its the head of the company ?

Maybe because you're acting like a troll. Why don't you start your own thread and stay there so that the rest of us can get through other threads without having to constantly encounter your childish whining?

Simple , ignore me . Thats why the function is there .
I dont care as long as new people that are considering Iburst knows what the company has a tendency of doing , Im happy.

I will CONTINUE to warn people against iburst with proven facts.

They lie , promises broken without even an apology . FACT !
They have a non existent service support system with people being ignored , telephones at their support number not getting answered , emails not getting responses etc FACT!
If you go with them you will end up with hardware that is useless when you leave them . FACT!
Their accounts department is a mess. Over billing , wrong statements etc. FACT!
They became more *expensive in a time where everyone else is getting cheaper. FACT!

*Old
5 GB + 64k throttle = R 599
New
5 GB + 64k throttle = 445 + 199 = R 644

In the example provided: R599 versus R644 = 7.5% increase (not the strange 140% claim here)

This, however, does not take into consideration that all bucket sizes have been increased, all booster prices have been decreased, and more speed products have been introduced.

That is 107% more expensive.

Mine is 140% more expensive. This is how I get it:

Old price: R249. New price: R348.

249 x = 348
thus x = 1,397
times a hundred to get a percentage, which gives you ~140% increase.

Try it yourself: multiply 249 by 1,40 and see what you get. Hint: if prices came down, you'd be dividing at this point. Only you can't get to 348 from 249 by dividing, hence the prices went up.

Edited: Thanks to Gings for fixing my maths..

Percentage increase in price: R99 / R249 * 100 = 39.76%

Dude you should see my litte script freak out when it refuses to take my browser to iWorst's throttled screen. Also my web server was freaking out. I don't know how they do that from server side. That's an awful lot of refreshes on my end.

I also agree with you regarding integrity and customer service. I've had enough of iWorst's lies and 'migration' nonsense that comes around every couple of months without the actual service improving. I lodged my complaints about their browser hijacking/redirecing and they tried to sweet talk their way out of addressing customer concerns. That's not how you deal with customer conerns. Their latest price increase was the last straw, and then they had the gall to market it as a price decrease.

I also agree withh Dusk: I will carry on warning people against iWorst until they keep their word about the old packages being available to all subscribers or until they realise I cancelled their 'service' in January.

I don't know where you learnt to do percentages, but that is not how they work.

Old price: R249. New price: R348.

Increase in price: R348 - R249 = R99

Percentage increase in price: R99 / R249 * 100 = 39.76%

An increase of 100% would mean the price doubled, i.e. increased to R498.

100% increase = multiplier of 2. 140% increase = multiplier of 2.4

If the price was R99 less then that would mean by your calculation a 140% discount which is strange as a 100% discount equates to free.

Why are the posts of Dusk and ZombiePriest so similar?
