If you are looking for the approx same speed 8000 series card

I would say about a 8500GT, with the 8500GT in the lead.

8500/8600Gt sounds about right, the 6800Gt is a 256-bit card, where as the newer 8600,8500 are only 128-Bit which hampers performance quite a bit..

i thought he meant what is as good as the 6800 gt, when the 6800gt was released it was like the 8800 series in terms of performance at the time
