7.2Mbps iPhone rumours surface

damn, and i just got my iphone, lol, what the hell are we gonna do with 7.2mb with the average 500MB bundle??? if we had uncapped mobile broadband that would be a total different story, but...
 
I wonder if SA will again be 3 months behind in getting the next iPhone
 
If the iPhone could act as a modem attached to your pc via usb and have native MMS support, I might even look into getting one. I don't like to buy a skeleton that requires after market 3rd party parts. Especially when they are in Dollar value. :(

In the meantime I'll wait for a cheaper Samsung/LG/Sony Erricson/Nokia alternative product.

Iphone OS 3 will support those things you ask for.. So you just need to update the firmware of the current phones and its suported, not to sure about the modem side of things those havnt checked, new update will have MMS support, Cut and paste etc..
 
Tethering depends on the wishes of the carrier.
 
To actually make use of the 7.2mb you have to subscribe and pay a montly fee, this fee does not count towards what u download or surf, its purely for the speed.
 
Did the exstra fee for the faster internet (Like exstra R45 or something) not fall away last month ?
 
Probably - I know nothing about the iphone except the fact that i hate iphone owner's smug attitude towards there overpriced phones.
 
A NEW new iPhone!?? :eek: Whaaaaaaai? Rather build that technology int the iPhone V2.0 or whatever.

I have never insulted anyone because of their cell choice, but schmucks like you bring the best out in me. Why don't you and tweedledummer go get yourself the original Motorola, the Dyna 8000Xm, probably the only thing you could manage

Hey, this isn't a circle jerk iLover forum. Maybe, just maybe, the iPhone isn't god's answer to every single problem.

And FYI, I have an old iPhone 2g and a new 3g one. I use my Nokia E66. Can I chat with the big boys?

haha..you just proved my point.....to qualify as a 'big boy' in your books I need an iphone, you say I am sprouting crap when I state the obvious, and in this case obvious whould be the fact that the ipone now only support MMS and copy/paste, basically all they really realised was a bug fix yet it is heralded as another miracle performed by the almighty steve jobs by your 'church of jobs'. But to round of nicely you felt the urge to question my inteligence, which I must say I found quite amusing, but I assume you had a crappy day and just wanted to blow off steam, so wont hold your comments against you (maybe regreting your iphone purchase?)
 
I am not regretting my iphone at all, I have had phones of all makes, loved my nokias and loves my se, and now I love working with my iphone. And I have had mms on it since I got it in january.

But the thing that gets me is, this thread states "7.2Mbps iPhone rumours surface", not "Iphone is better because of 7.2" nor "iPhone is the best in the world". But of course as soon as someone just hints at the iphone, immediately the nokia brigade jumps into action. Guess what, this thread has got nothing to do with you, it does not even mention nokia.

So maybe its you that are having problems with not having an iphone, next time stick to your nokia threads, and leave the iphone threads to those that actually own an iphone

And guess what, no where did it state in the title of the thread that the iphone is the best, but yet of course, the nokia brigade just had to rush in here and put everyone straight
