702's McKaiser 'demonstrated intolerance', BCCSA

I see Mr McKaiser is leaving 702 at the end of June... I'm going to miss him heaps! I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed him! Being replaced by Clement Manyathela, who, let's be honest, isn't in the same class academically.

Anyway, apologies for the thread necro but the other thread had long since been locked....
Yano - good riddance.

His holier art thou "I know more than you because I am educated" attitude got irritating the more I listened to him.

Constantly reminding people of his academic history (By the way, has he told you yet that we went to Rhodes?) and trying to use big boy words to disarm his callers when he didn't agree with their stance. That, or simply cutting the line and moving on with conversation if he didn't like the topic. He lost the ability to be objective more and more the longer he stayed on radio.

Edit: He seems a little inexperienced, I quite like Clement. best of luck to him

Snowflakes a pretty hipster term its on trend, you know you got to be trendy with your catch phrases.

Provide a source ? People were called snowflakes in the 90's. BTW the word snowflake has got nothing to do with hipster culture. In popular culture currently its mostly directed at millennials from other clicks.

hipster1
/ˈhɪpstə/
Learn to pronounce
nounINFORMAL
a person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream.

Then you have

Millennial (hipster) as they have their own fashion tends.
Metal Heads (Hipster) as they have their own fashion tends.
Jocks (Hipster) as they have their own fashion tends.

You get the point so basically anyone not following mainstream fashion is a hipster ... I think you are referring to the guys sitting there with a beard and lumberjack checkered jacket working on his Apple Laptop in the coffee shop.

WTF kind of name is Mckaiser? Irish German?
Like a mcmuffin, but with kaiser (roll, porky).

heh:

Kaiser
Kaiser is the German word for "emperor". Like the Bulgarian, Serbian, and Russian word Tsar, it is directly derived from the Roman emperors' title of Caesar, which in turn is derived from the personal name of the Julii Caesares, a branch of the gens Julia, to which Gaius Julius Caesar, the forebear of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, belonged.

Is this the same dude who was outed by Helen Zille as having lied *ahem* - I mean creatively suggested - that his academic qualifications were something they are not? Something about oxford comes to mind...

Jimmy Myani springs to mind as well, his 3 day sojourn in the UK and put a somewhat elevated view of his Oxford credentials... MUPPET does like his western name Jimmy anymore, if memory serves he was involved in that bread fixing episode...

I blame Gareth Cliff for the sad state of radio today , once he left the air it all fell apart.
He was the glue apparently.

Edit - dj fresh come back to your old timeslot
