85's

yeah luckily i am not healing with my druid, it oom at a insane rate, i even oom on long fights with my boomkin spec fights where i need apply dots again like magmaw :(

Yeah, I have the same problems as shadow :p After finishing a dot rotation i'm on 40% mana left :(

yeah i even specced improve innervate so it restores a decent amount of mana, have to use like twice a fight sometimes lol

I'ts not so fun to heal anymore, with tanks that dont wait for you to get mana.. it's a wipe, because my 70k mana on my druid goes down pretty fast just on adds in dungeons.

I agree. I have switched to balance. I would rather wait 50mins in the queue gathering herbs to stock up flasks for raiding, doing dailies etc, than get frustrated try keep dps alive, especially melee. It's easy to say, just let die, but then the loss of dps means I go oom and the tank dies and then I die anyway.

The way I look at it, is if I am in the grp as dps, I appreciate the healer more and do whatever I can to avoid unnecessary damage and it's one less twit dps in the group who only cares about topping the dps meters

Ag, the healers are just being girls now.

When I levelled my Shammy healer I remember how incredibly hard it was to heal the start of TBC content. I was going OOM and crying like a little girl because of the big differences. Thing is, you need the kit and so do the people you are leveling with, so instead of expecting EZMode healing the whole time, actually man up and heal like a pro :D

I notice with my mage, that "sheep pulls" are now my thing :D (though those mullets that aoe and bring my target outta being sheeped really annoy me.

Yeah healing is a challenge at the moment, even though I am at 127k hp as a warior tank it disappears in a flash, mana break after almost every pull.

Hit 85 on Saturday and should close out Lore Master for Cat this evening. The dungeons are a nice challenge again, Rogues and Mages are back in fashion.

Ret pally's finding it hard to aggro tank mobs at the moment and live, good times some order has been restored.

Was doing starcaller for some old guildies last night and we decided to just eat big bang for max dps.

I've run HoO normal 5 times and Tol'vir normal twice, nothing has dropped :(

WTB JP farming :p

Just read the tankspot healing threads...

All healers are suffering, so we're in the same boat...I found some tips to live by that everyone (not just healers) should read!

It'll take me a couple days/weeks to get the "keep everyone at 100%" mentality out of my playstyle :(

Another brilliant read for the new mindset :p

True things, If people learn to CC things will go much smoother.

Yesterday i went in as DPS because i am just getting myself more gear to heal and there was another druid and we used my Inervate and his and we still OOM :P

Crikey, I did HoO once last night.. thats the one with the four farming bosses at the end. It made me really frustrated cause it was dropping good cloth kit, and a stupid dps priest was getting all the sockatable kit. Grrrr. What a waste of kit, hehe.

Our healer when OOM loads of times in that instance. Basically after every mob pull. I think healers need to realize that healing is no longer ezmode wow, dps need to learn that they cant rely on healers heals as much and need to learn to cc and stay alive, and tanks need to learn to chill out and wait for everyone to mana up.

Quoted for truth!

I only oom on bosses, the trash leading up to those 4 bosses have their own tactics and are relatively easy :)

Wotlk healing was about spell rotations to prioritize cooldowns (because mana wasn't a problem), now in Cata it's about spell priority...wasteful casting will penalize the player :(

Still having problems with dps not interrupting though...

Healers running oom...not when I tank except on Heroic Boss fights. The trick is the tank also need to blow cooldowns like it is out of fashion. Then the healer can figure out how to conserve more mana because the tank needs less babysitting, and even give the healer time to throw the dps some heals here and there.

In all the runs I have tanked so far, the healers love it, they actually ask me to stay for more runs though working as hard as I do in heroics I usually need a break after the run. Its a bucket load of work actually, not to just keep aggro, but survive, use interesting new tactics to avoid damage ect. In halls of origination the 1 boss is not tanked, but I run around with 40 mobs on me at stages, it is freaking insane. You shockwave the pack once aggro, then charge away. Also the DPS in some of my groups leave mobs on very low HP then move on to the next mobs so that I can get the killing blow and use Victory rush to heal myself for crazy amounts myself.

You speak the truth. I haven't played on my Priest yet, since Cata release, but even before that you could see if a tank is being lazy :p

Dinged 85 last night. Hell yeah! No more leveling for me. Totally over it. Well until I make my Worgan. Right now I am running around getting as many herbs as possible and dropping them on the market. Ive made 5000g in 3 days. Im cashing in on this bonanza for as long as it lasts.

I find that tanks only take massive damage if they are being hit by numerous mobs.

The solution to this is :
1. CC. Pref the most dangerous
2. Dps all nuke the same target to reduce the number of mobs hitting the tank.
3. Kill the most dangerous mob first
4. Kill the mob with the lowest hp first

Follow these simple principles and you generally have wow licked.

If there is no cc and they can nuke down a mob or 2 quickly, I can keep the tank up. It sucks most of my mana, but if we get to the point where all I need to do is spam nourish on the tank with 3 lifebloom stacks, then my mana doesn't drop any further. I can spam this for hours if needed with almost no mana left.

The problem comes in where melee end up off tanking because the dps is all over the place. Nourish is ineffective without lifebloom and I have to use other spells which result in me going oom. It's better to let them die in that case.

I agree with popping cooldowns to help preserve your healers mana but at what cost? Some idiots just figure hey he doesnt need that much healing slacks and you get pummeled into the floor once your cooldowns are doen cus he wasnt expecting so much healing to be done.
Shammy healer in Tolvir hc couldnt keep our warr tank up so I switched with him and healed myself as much as I could just to get through the boss fights.:wtf:

P.S ret is not a spec anymore...

w00t, I hit 85 on Wednesday! What a grind :p

I like how they've changed the instances where you need a certain ilvl to be able to join a certain dungeon/heroic. Ingame GS! lol

Hard work to gear now. It should always have been like this.

Ran Blackroch HC last night damn it was hard...
Damn it was fun
Healers seem to KUK off cos healing isnt wach-the-mole anymore
you have to work to heal your group

I can honestly say... at the moment, it is completely impossible to pug a HC. Guild runs only.

It way easier to level on the lower levels now. I started my Worgen drood yesterday afternoon. When I disconnected last night I was level 16. 16 levels in just a couple of hours. Wow.

Really? I pugged my very 1st 2 heroics with completely random people and finished both bar a few wipes which isn't out of the picture since none of us knew all the new things over normal dungeons. Since then I haven't had time to play again with holidays ect but sure its possible to pug heroics.

So far my favourite hc would have to be Deadmines with the one in Vashir' close behind. Loved them, as for Grim Batol and Black rock Caverns not so much tanking is damn hard:S
