Hi Guys,

I dont normally post these sorts of things, but I think some of you may find this to be of use:

We are going to be ordering some 8800's from newegg.com- should be some of hte first cards in SA. I've loaded the items onto my site:

http://www.wantitall.co.za/product_detail.php?id=599434
http://www.wantitall.co.za/product_detail.php?id=599435

I just handle the shipping, customs and all other charges.

Warranties are held with the manufacturers; however I will cover insurance from the USA to SA. If you at any stage need to send the cards back...I will assist.

The price on the site is inclusive of all costs, and I will throw in free local shipping.

Thanks

FYI: This is the card

It takes 1-2 weeks from the USA to SA. Last time I ordered on Thu, and had the cards the next Tue (6 days)

yeah but this card is going to be in short supply

btw Ap0c, you have the "special" price as lower than the original price, not like there was an original one.

You know, the price that is crossed out is lower than the new price in red.

But still, pretty nice price, wish I could afford this :)

The font makes the the original price look lower - will get the IT guys to check it out ;)

Regarding the short supply issue....

I guess if newegg.com can supply them to us, then there shouldnt be much of an issue.

I didnt mean physically lower if thats what you mean.

I meant that the normal price is R5000 while the "special" (in red) is R5300, so you put it on special by adding R300 to the price, or thats what it looks like.

I dont think the font did that..

If you copy and paste the prices you get: R5,882.43 R5,378.55

The strikeout on the 8's make them look like 0's. ;)

R4500 for GTS and R5500 for GTX.... incl shipping and Customs from very reliable sellers on ebay......Sellers who actually ship to SA and act as online stores with at least 5000 positive feedbacks. Shipping takes 10 days and comes with full money back guarantee if the postage gets stolen or damaged when in transit.

Just thought id give you a heads up....

Cheers

around 4500 still

but that price is going to drop alot i think

But who in his right mind will buy a DirectX 9 card now, with Vista & DirectX 10 just around the corner?

It's like buying a plasma today without HDMI.

Yes, and the 8800GTS is a good overclocker as well!

*Think it was a review on Anandtech or Toms Hardware?

Overclock

Firingsquad also overclocked their GTS close on GTX speeds. The results were quite awesome.

Sjoe, but this thing sucks 180 Watts of powa!! I hope my 450 Watt CoolerMaster will be OK, but I think not... :(
