Hi Guys
I am sitting with an interesting issue here on my PC
I have 2 4GB RAM modules installed, but Win10 gives the following message:
8GB Installed (3.95 GB Available).
Why would that be?
BIOS shows that 8GB RAM is installed, a program called Speccy also states the same.
I have already updated drivers for the MB.
I have tried the popular result from Google, which is:
Run msconfig, go to boot tab, advanced options and untick the Maximum Memory box.
I have also tried switching the physical modules from slots 1 and 3 to slots 2 and 4.
But so far, I am coming up snake eyes on all my efforts.
What are the chances that one of the physical modules are faulty?
I can't really say with certainty when this issue started, only noticed it by chance when I did a check to see if my PC can run a certain game.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx
