I wonder how is this new tariff doing? Is it better than Cellc 99cent? I do not have 8ta.

It's R0.95 from 8ta to 8ta whole day and R1.75 to other mobile networks at peak. Cell C it's R0.99 to all networks whole day.

I pay R1.50 to all networks all day and 0.50c sms to all on MTN. Don't know anyone on 8ta so I'm better off.

But you will be better of with CellC at 99c to all networks all day and per second billed.

It is actually not 95c but R1.90 per minute billed per second to all networks! The advertising is false. What is happening with the prepaid system is that you will get double the airtime when you recharge but your free portion will disappear after 7 days if you have not used it. You will however use the free portion first before the loaded airtime. If you want this 95c per minute you will have to recharge regularly with small amounts. Lets try to explain. If you normally will make R200 per calls per month (at R1.90 per minute) then load R25 every Monday and you will have R50 for the week, then reload. In this process you will get all your calls at an effective rate of 95c/minute even though it depletes your airtime at R1.90 per minute. If you loaded R100 at the beginning of the month, you will have to make half of your monthly calls in the first week otherwise you will loose out.

I prefer the simpler CellC system. Recharge, recharge amount available at 99c/minute.

I'm also on per second from the first second. My number is used for business and can therefore not gamble on a port going smoothly (and in my area quality is good on MTN, CellC not sure).

I agree with FireTelkom this is false advertising.

Prepaid? Change to One4All tariff plan, R1.20 per second billing all day, all networks, no catch, no hidden options. Since introduction of One4All, also Zone plan gives better discount. These two are the best options (from MTN).

Thank you, that's another 0.5 cent saving that will (seriously) make a big difference. Changed to One4All.

http://www.8ta.com/plans/prepaid-voice/ remember if you recharge with X amount and receive the airtime free you've to use it within 7 days or else you forfeit. I would rather use Vodacom free daily calls to contact people on vodacom. I love CELL C 99cent real deal, that's pure per second billing
