While I am at it, what's up with the 8ta and Google offer where you can access Google free, even if data is depleted and conduct a search?

Once my data bundles are depleted, I can access Google but cannot search.

Had a chat with the big G and they are sending someone to meet with me to take a look.

You cannot use normal google.com. You must use freezone.google.co.za and you must log in.

They cache a few pages, like wikipedia so you can view them for free also.

I thought they whitelisted "Google Services" - or is it only Google Search now?

IE: Can you access Google+ via 8ta?

I thought an iPhone was a smartphone, so did Google when I contacted them. Still, I am unable to access Gmail and Google Plus. I can access Google Search, but cannot search.

Yes, according to Google you can search, but once leaving the site you will need bandwidth.
