8ta is down for me at home and at work? I live in jhb south. Any one else having a problem?
 
Yup, me too. I live in Constantia, Cape Town. Been down for at least the last few hours.

Working from my Vodacom SIM...
 
Yip, Pretoria East too. Tried connecting usb modem through 8ta connect and got a connection refused error.

Thanks goodnees for Cell C as a backup, although the signal isn't as good :(
 
Increasingly becoming a problem, I can surf, but 8ta's web pages cannot be found - happens more and more recently ... , pisses me off when I want to check my balance ...
 
I'm also in the Constantia/ Plumstead,Cape Town area. I have not noticed problems with 8ta being down but I have noticed a decrease in my signal from full bars, back down to just one bar for 3G. Last week I was able to benefit from having full bars of signal 100% of the time while I surf but since Tuesday 4 December, my experience has depleted drastically.

I'm now wondering if this has something to do with the work they are doing with the 8ta network?
 
Seems like 8ta is back up and running properly in my area. Just ran a speed test and got this result. :)
 
Just got a call from a client in Wonderboom, Pretoria saying he is unable to connect today.

Anyone else from the area also affected?

Same with me. That happens really often. Usually I disconnect, eject, reinsert, connect and most of the time it's fine.
 
Was down in Durban North a few hours ago back now
