For those wondering about 8ta's 36 month contract (3.2 gigs per month and laptop) consider this: with 8ta you'll get the laptop and 115.2 gigabytes worth of data over 36 months at a whopping R18 000!!! With Cell C you can get the first 60 gigabytes of data with a modem for R 2999.00 (if you don't have one) and then you can get the second 60 gigabytes of data for R1999.00 (does not include modem) which makes a total of 120 gigabytes of data for R 4998.Therefore I don't see what the benefit is of signing a contract with 8ta for 36 months... unless the laptop actually costs more than R 13 000, which I seriously doubt. And anyway by the time the first 12 out of 36 months pass it is very likely that all networks will drop their data prices to compete with Cell C's rate of 3-5 cents per megabyte. By that time it will be too late as you will be locked into the 36-month contract, and the difference will be even greater than R 13 000. Therefore the laptop is not "free" but well included in the price.. so give it some thought
