In our business we have guys and girls running about with laptops and 3G modems. The Vodacom contract is about to expire and the 8ta offer sounds like a good one.
However, the Telkom Direct store say:
"Unless you can supply an address which we can verify signal coverage, we cannot do the contract"
"8ta does not do corporate contracts, only private ones"
Hey there, I have always known that sometimes we might be in an area where the coverage is dodgy, but to be so dogmatic about the RULES seems to be taking it a bit far. You create and market a mobile device like a 3G modem which is surely a portable device, then specify that it can only be used in one place. 95% of our work is in a school that is well within the coverage area.
I also want to try it for a few days and see how we get on. No. Impossible, they say. Buy it or walk out the store. So that is what I did.
Called CellC. Not my first choice, but they are definitely business-like. Provided a 10Gb SIM to try out free for a few weeks and leave it to me to test.
