Telkom’s mobile arm 8ta is set to upgrade their network to 21Mbps HSPA+ in the near future

I hope the new data packages are R64 per/gb to compare with TelkomISP ADSL, Vodacon will be very angry and red.... they might run to mommy (ASA)...

In a way it makes sense to stick with tried-and-trusted technology.

42Mbps is a whole new ball game, there's bounds to be issues here and there.

Personally I don't care for speeds, all I ask for is a reliable 2Mb/4Mb connection.

We are in the same boat. Our ADSL line it almost useless. Lost packets, etc. I would kill for a reliable 2 meg connection.

Based on what? Have you analysed their balance sheet and cash flow statements?

Over 1000 sites (built in 6 months) in all cities and then roaming on MTN in other areas...

Funny how our mobile networks are competitive with those internationally, but our landlines aren't even a fraction of what they have overseas.

Im waiting to see what Telkom brings to the table.
Like Lib's says - im also only interested in a reliable line at least 2-4mb/s.
Telkom has the bandwidth, lets see if we get bigger caps & cheaper prices (hoping against all odds)
