8ta roaming on MTN is it 3G?

As the title suggest I'm thinking of porting but would like to know if the roaming is on 3G.

Yes it roams on MTN 3G if you don't have Telkom Mobile coverage.... It will roam if you are on 8ta more price plan. Sim-sonke does not roam. Contracts sims from Telkom Mobile also roam I think.....

You also get 2 types of bundles.... ALL and TM. All works when you roam on MTN and TM bundles only works when you are on Telkom Mobiles towers.... You can load a bundle of each and it will use the bundle depending if your roam or not. Very cool from Telkom Mobile

With prepaid you have the following two options:
8ta More
It roams on MTN’s network when you do not have Telkom Mobile coverage

Telkom Mobile SIM-SONKE
It only works on Telkom Mobile’s network
