8ta sim in CellC stick

but what do I enter for username and password?

Hope this helps:

Vodafone (Huawei) 556a ADSL and 3g Router - ADSL Disabled
Huawei E1820
Huawei E220
Hauwei E353

All the above work in any combination with my 8TA, VODA and CellC SIM cards.
The norm is to leave UN and PW blank but my router also does not like that.
UName: guest
PWord: guest
Tel: *99#
APN: internet
Authentication: auto
DNS: auto (or I use Google's 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)
If there is an option for PS vs. CS: CS (packet vs. circuit switched)

Network Selection: auto or 3G preferred (I suggest you NOT specify a particular cell network, leave that to the SIM)

Lastly (from me anyhow) make sure that you are logged on as admin when setting up the above, but when connecting logon as user. Not sure that this is not a Vodafone/Huawei specific prerequisite, or it might be because I use Vodafone Ireland and /or NZ firmware.

Hope you come right.

Save and Reboot your router often during the setup.

OOh yea, on the E1820 from CellC - I downloaded the 8TA-software to replace the CellC std on stick.

None of these modem drivers are loaded on my system, the router takes care of that. (all Huawei)

cell c speed stick how can I get it to work on 8ta sim please some good help needed

:rolleyes::o
Hi guys,

I have a Huawei E1752 Cell C modem and I was wondering what I need to do to it in order to get it to work on 8ta's network? do I need to flash it or will it just work with Cell C's dashboard.

I haven't signed up just yet with 8ta - but hoping to get the 60/60 deal this week

I have managed to connect using my cellc dongle, try this 1) load the cellc dashboard onto pc. 2) Now get the 8ta update software from the 8ta website and update you cellc dongle with this sofware. 3) load this software onto PC, you should now have 2 connection managers dashboard on your desktop. 4) You will see recognition of new hardware at the bottom of your screen, 5) Go to your 8ta dashboard and click options, 6) Select network> manually register service> find the available networks and pick 8ta and register same.7) now go to your 8ta dashboard and connect internet, (Hint it will only work if you have both dashboards present on your desktop) I have used windows Xp.
