Looks like an internal shuffle with 8ta remaining as a "retail" brand. Based on the wording (convergence, strategy, etc.) it looks like they want to use wireless technologies to achieve greater broadband penetration. This includes LTE...

From an economic perspective it makes no sense to supply new and maintain existing copper last mile networks in many areas of South Africa. I predict a disinvestment in copper in those areas and service provision only via wireless technologies.
