8ta Unusable Again

So, for the umpteenth time 8ta has become unusable in the Krugersdorp / Dan Pienaarville area.

Crawling at 0.02kbps it is taking ages for websites to open. Cannot even open speedtest to show a result here.

WTF is going on? You guys start reminding me of VC and the reasons I left them.

Look like I will need to try MTN and CellC again...

Patience they could be doing maintenance on the tower in your area,happen to me once and things improved drastically. Remember to give 24 hours to see if you've noticed an improvement.

I wouldn't move over to Cell C they having issues check their forum

Also experiencing major issues in the Vaal/Vereeniging area this passed week. Almost unusable, use to get an average of 8 Mbps on speed test, now getting 0.2, 0.3 Mbps if I'm lucky. Normal browsing is a nightmare. Whats up with the network these days.

Dont know what you guys are talking about cause the 8ta cell number I provided to you in my PM is the prepaid number I am currently using and have loaded the 2 + 1 deal a few times already with no problem. If you want I can send you a screenshot tonight of my data bundle from your online portal.

My 8ta connection has been down since yesterday.

I chatted to them last night from the 8ta website and they said there is a network problem, they're working on it.

Today, same problem, they say they still working on it...

Is anyone else affected?

anyone know what the problem is, and how do we get updates on the fix?

Same problem in Honeydew area, on-line chat(on my cellC backup) confirmed they have problems but no estimate on resolution.

Yep, 8ta still down. This is why I say they cannot offer a service. Again, 8ta is fine for kiddies wanting to surf the net and who can afford a lot of down time. But, if you have a business and needs to be online and rely on emails you cannot even consider 8ta. Vodacom, MTN and CellC is the best options to go with.

I experienced same...and went to Cell C & bought a 300MB to try out. While there I noticed they have a special - 150GB for R1 789.00
Might swing their way instead of getting the 120GB (60+60GB)from 8Ta. They will lose if they do not look after their clients.
