I bought the 60Gb + 60Gb deal with the 8ta USB dongle as a backup for my business. We've got three iMacs and my Macbook Pro. Plugging the 8ta Dongle into any of the iMacs, two of which are running Lion, launches the connection interface and connects fine. When I plug it into my Macbook Pro, double clicking the 8ta icon appears to launch but nothing happens.

Any other MB users had this issue? I've taken a quick look through the forum but haven't seen any similar posts.

Edit: It's a HUAWEI E173 USB modem

Solved…

I had to open the package contents and manually drag the MobilePartner.mpkg over to my desktop and install it from there.

Just want to add that B683 Wifi router is available from 8ta. It would serve all computers simultaneously.

I have the same problem, i just updated my OS X to Mountain Lion 10.8.2, it works perfectly on my iMac but on my macbook pro 8Ta connect doesn't even open, even after I had to opened the package contents and manually dragged the MobilePartner.mpkg over to my desktop and install it from there. Help?! Please
