9/11 Memorial

Lol...
I dont think we should mourn these people. Its unfortunate, but hey wrong place wrong time, that simple.

It's what, 12:18 now, the planes struct at what time, 8/9 ?!?

I think the towers were coming down at about this time... :(

IIRC it was about 4.30 our time when the first tower collapsed. I was listening in on the radio in the car while waiting to pick my sister up from work.

I feel bad for these people and their families who suffered because of other peoples twisted ideas.

What a sad day... I remember it clealry... My dog got run over :D

Well we can be gratefull that they haven't had such attacks since, but it's not for a lack of trying on the part of the radicals.

Whether you choose to mourn them or not is up to you. But to say they were in the wrong place at the wrong time is off side. That's the trouble with terrorists - they come to mess with you, you don't get the choice.

spare a thought on this day, for the vast numbers of innocent civilians who have been killed out of revenge, 'on behalf of the dead of 911.'

According to the Red Cross and many other respected organizations - the current numbers of innocent civilian dead, is in the area of ONE MILLION men, women, and children.

It rather dwarfs the few thousands who died so suspiciously, on 911.

And perhaps one should reflect on whether those who died on 911, would have wanted
such mass genocide to be done, 'in their name'.

I doubt it.

Whoa! What happened to LG's pertinent contribution to this thread? Did alantjie invoke the anti-terror-thought-police?

Ooops - I see he is back. Still????.......

I guess alanf85, who spends 364 days a year advocating global bloodthirsty revenge on behalf of 911 (and thus disrespecting those who died) wants to appear thoughtful on this one single day.

Interesting schizophrenia. And censorship. Given that 911 was all about POLITICS -its rather perverse to try say 'no politics as we remember the dead.'

oh.. temper, temper.

How wonderful it is to have freedom of speech and anonymous at that.

I do not feel all warm and fuzzy inside about 9/11, neither do I feel less warm and fuzzy about the Unites Snakes of America bombing Afgan and Iraq after that.

It does break my hart to see the faces and tears of the victims though, knowing that THEY HAD ZERO say about the killing and death around them.

It's not schizophrenia. My tinfoil hat is faulty somehow :o
