9 million posts on MyBroadband

Intro'd to mybroadband by a friend and havent looked back since. :)

I came across mybroadband on the SA 4x4 Community website and linked from there. When I saw the wealth of information and advice on the site I decided to subscribe.

Love how the one post wonders who entered the competition say they can't remember why they joined :p

That is strange?:wtf:
When they announced the 8 million posts, the url said it was the 13,396,800 post.
Now they announce the 9 million posts and the url says it is the 15,427,020 post, so they had over 2,000,000 posts according to the url but only 1,000,000 "valid" posts.

Maybe the 9 million excludes deleted posts / deleted threads
Are blog posts included in the 9 million?
Not enough to make up for almost half the posts imo.

Well rpm must be lying then.

Or with an upgrade/maintenance some numbers were skipped or used up with load tests etc.

I see 9 million posts listed at the bottom of the main forum page, what URL are you referring to?

What are you saying?
Should've completed that last sentence. Regardless, those are reasons why the post numbers could be higher than than the 9mil posts we have.

I came across mybroadband when I was looking for answers on some AD problem I was experiencing with my servers and decided to register on the forums. I found them quite helpful indeed. I like that it has evolved over the years and I now use it more as a technology journal as I always find that it offers breaking news stories on the SA Tech front.
