Can you see picture quality improvement with 90cm against 60cm dish for the standard (not HD) DSTV for JHB region? Is the current 1110 decoder the only new option for standard DSTV installation?

You won't see a picture improvement. It's either on or off. You will see less picture breakup during thunderstorms/heavy rain though.

no improvement in picture, just less chance of you losing picture during high wind or rain storms,
of course if the dish is place corectly and secure properly the firsst time this wont be a problem.

and the 1131 is the current new decoder available everywhere, very few places have any 1110's for sale,

Ok, so 90cm dish and 1131 decoder is a better option. What else should I look for - what type of LNB for single point installation? Does, the quality of the coax makes any diffrence for short (about 20m) distance? Connectors - are there different ones, e.g. high/low quality?
