962 Schools have been vandalised

I dont give a **** anymore. Let them burn the schools, it is 70 plus years later and they still burning.

Shoot to kill - the only way to get the message across - this is looting in basically war time.

I think crime just took a new form in most places, why do a break in, when you can just sell black market cigarettes. It's more profitable...

It is down. The crime category/ies involving schools might be up, but murders and residential burglaries and robberies and theft from and of motor vehicles are way down, locally over 95% from what I gather. If you cannot understand that, you might as well be an ANC minister or voter too.
Not aimed at you - actual live current real time events locally.

Yes, crime is down for what you want to record. Stats are gold, ask the exspurts in gauvamint.

In the meantime, victims are getting chased away at a SAPS station "because of the CoVID lockdown". Cybercrime is up. But of course, any case of fraud "is a civil case", because you mos gave you details/money willingly. Let's just scratch fraud, forgery and uttering.

So let me ask you this: how much is it down, do you know? Or is it perhaps up - like other countries have found when they started looking at cyber crime. Please give us our cyber crime stats so far this year, or for last year?

In the meantime, from the trenches, businesses are begin defrauded left right and center, not with a packet or box of masks now needed, but by the tonnes. Even Interpol has put out an alert on this. Ditto Europol. Ditto countries around the world. Arrests are being made. Meanwhile back at the ranch, sorry, we can't accept your case "because of the CovID lockdown". In the meantime, a good cop on the other side of South Africa gets crapped upon because his victim in his area requires investigation outside the station region by divisional heads. Where does cyber crime take place?

But I guess we're okay because we have an anti-virus package, know each and every business in South Africa and first check out companies on the CIPC (what a joke!)? :whistling:

The truth is we don't actually have a clue what our crime stats are, only being fed what our authorities wish to divulge or record.
