hi guys... i just have a question about my GPU. i recently took interest in overclocking it. i clocked the core from 650mhz to 738mhz running the fan at 60% and getting idle temp at 50 and 60 under strain. cant remember my memory clock and that, but did it to a recommendation on the internet... however i have not seen a increase in performance. my 3d mark 06 score stayed the same and so did the "world in conflict" benchmark score. what might be the problem with me not getting the increase?

im using rivertuner... should i maybe run more benchmarks? and how much more can i clock it?

What are the rest of your specs? Something else could be a bottleneck which explains why an overclock won't help towards your scores.

Download and run gpu-z just to make sure your card is in fact overclocked. Also, what program are you using to oc?

use this with rivatuner. to see wat your gpu has go to your nvidia control panel. go to "help" the system specifications.

What can happen is your clock is too high and it will revert to standard clocks.

Use Rivatuner as stated along with GPUZ. GPUZ has 2 sections where it tells your the standard clock and the current clock. All the info you need;)

You processor is the bottle neck. You need to overclock it before you'll see an increase in score.

yea will try.. the problem is, my bios does not allow oc so have to use software. will this be problematic in anyway? i mean does it do the same job?

i dono if this is obvious but in riva tuner under overclocking under startup settings sub heading did you check the box so that it saves those settings for your next start up? i struggled for a long time coz it would always revert. also do it with fan settings if you havent
