I felt like some OG CoD today and downloaded CoD 4 from Steam. The menu theme still sounds a crisp as it did when we all opened the game in November 2007. 
Out of curiosity, I also launched the multiplayer and to my surprise - I found an SA server.
There are a few steps in getting the multiplayer to work correctly but it's not too difficult. You need to join a server which says "downgrade to 1.7" and it pretty much does everything for you. I haven't figured out how to launch Punkbuster yet (I wonder if it still exists).
Is anyone keen on connecting for a few sessions of Free for All? It would definitely bring back some memories (feeling old now)
