A couple questions regarding adsl?

Business with 40 staff currently accessing a Business Uncapped 4MB adsl line , I think company is paying upwards of 4k pm for this line!
I wont mention ISP just yet.
We currently using one of their Cisco routers.
The pricing hasn't changed in the last 10 years.

So we in desparate need for upgrade and there is 20MB adsl in our area.

ISP is now punting wireless.

Synchronous Wireless Uncontended (Dedicated) Uncapped

6Meg Dedicated R5,080ex / month

or

8Meg Dedicated R6,320ex /month

Plus monthly CityLink fee of R415ex that covers the CPE (Customer Premises Equipment)

Plus 4x Live IP’s @ R68ex each


Doesn't this seem overpriced?
 
Also what process would one take to say add another adsl line to the premises?

Due to office politics no one is giving out details.
Crazy I know.
As far as I can deduce the line and everything is ISP controlled and with Internet Solutions as data provider.

Check the Telkom map and click on your work premises. It should say what service e is offered there.
If you fall in the coverage area, go to a high up guy and tell them they're being ripped off. You can also ask a rep at e.g. crystal web (check their online help on the site) to check for you. They can also recommend some packages you might like, I would suggest signing up for one of their higher end packages, just ask the support for advice and he's should be able to give pricing.
 
We using a Cisco 800 Series router, whats the benefits of this over a normal router that I see in most places ?
 
Spoke to Telkom and they checked our current ADSL number and confirmed there's 20mb available.
 
So looking at things, we should cancel our current ISP.

purchase a router +-R1000
100GB + 20MB adsl bundle to test - R599pm with Axxess as example.

At anyone time we usually have +-10 staff connected at once.

Data might be too little Hemps, although depends what its going to be used for?

You might want to invest in another router that allows bandwidth management capabilities, especially if there are that many users connected.

I **** you not!
When I heard the price we where being charged and told other people , it was real WTF.
And whats worse is they have now quoted us for an exorbitant wifi.
