hopefully they do bring something revolutionary to the table...

It doesn't matter what they bring to the table, be assured that it will be "NEW AND REVOLUTIONARY" even if it is tech that has been available for years. The Apple approved hashtags for after the event will be #donerightbyapple and #improvedbyapple

iPhone 7S/8, iPhone 7S/8 Plus, iPhone Edition, Apple Watch Series 3, HomePod (possibly), 4K AppleTV, IOS11, ARKit, WatchOS 4 and MacOS High Sierra... Busy keynote.

It's good to be hopefully. What have they brought to the table that was revolutionary since the iPhone?

And if it fails, it'll be #you'redoingitwrong and #you'reholdingitwrong

They put the tablet on the map as well as the smartwatch. Not revolutionary sectors but they do create massive stimulation in markets they enter.

Don't get me wrong.

Nothing wrong with Apple. If you want one, go for it.

Same for Android. Or whatever.

I just love a good friendly poking :p

I have learnt from the Windows vs OS/2 wars that not one thing is perfect, it will always have its flaws even if it's deemed to be "perfect".

So just use whatever you're comfortable with. And that it works for you.

Just the iPhone then? ;)

lol even the iPhone. It wasn't a new idea at the time. We had good camera phones with music players, internet browsers and maps with GPS etc. But they arguably paved the way for what a smartphone is now. The App store probably being one of the largest factors.

Crappy thread title aside.

What to expect at Apple's Sep 12 iPhone 8 unveiling event - iDB
