Every citizen should have at least some interest in educational standards. Even if you don't have children, your future colleagues, subordinates or employees will come through the school system and hopefully graduate from university. But will you employ someone who was taught by a computer illiterate teacher?

I personally don't really see how it matters? Unless the teacher's job is to teach your child how to use a computer, there's no NEED for them to make use of a computer, except to increase their personal performance with regards to keeping track of marks and the like. Care to explain your point of view a bit further?

You might want to address the blog's author directly (as opposed to the guy who posted it). Perhaps by leaving a comment on Tom's page?
