A good experience (believe it!)

I just want to say that I have had a very pleasing experience with Telkom. I have had DSL for over 4 years now and I have had connection problems over the last few weeks. I contact Telkom on Tuesday and I have just had a guy come around now to fix the connection. He was really friendly and helpful and managed to fix the problem. Apparently I had some rust on my circuit down the road and using the telkom surge protector isnt a great idea for your connection either.

Not all is bad!
 
I agree. Not ALL Telkom employees are bad. Generally it seems like the guys on the ground, like your average technician are pretty good guys. It's those fat ***ks sitting on the board that are pathetic!!
 
the call centre people are the worst,

you phone them:

Telkom Call Centre, CINDY: Helloo my name is CINDEEE
Me: I would like to report a fault
Cindy: Sorree, what is a falt?
/me starts to laugh
/me puts down the phone and try again hoping its not Cindy

This happened today, the lady couldnt even talk properly, she didnt know what a fault was, WTF!?! What ever happened to interviewing someone before hireing them?
 
lol, of course i don't work for telkom. Yes, the call centre people are generally complete idiots but the technitians that come around, from my experience, are really friendly, knowledgable and helpful. don't get me wrong, what telkom is doing from 1 November is crazy and I have sent a couple of emails to complain. I am really not happy with the executives at telkom.

all i was trying to highlite, in view of the many criticisms we make on this forum, is that it is not all that bad!
