A huge stuff up :/

A call to 086 192 7435 a few minutes ago yielded no explanation whatsoever as to what the problem was.

To me it sounds like there were authentication problems with iBurst last night

Did you log a call?
 
I'm currently connected via MTN 3G. Looks like the whole Iburst network is down.

But of course, the Network Status Page says eveything is 100% OK.

I stand to be corrected, but wasnt last night or early these morning iBurst "maintenance which occurs weekly starting at midnight Wednesday, and lasting up to Thursday morning 3:00am."
 
Yes they do do maintenance on Wednesday nights apparently, but all this started before 8pm.

A direct response from the reseller, Great Job there Mr Carter, now we can see that at least some reseller of iburst is willing to participate with MyADSL.
 
I had the same problem last night. I tried to phone the call center but couldn't connect. Yet when I look at the iBurst site this morning there is nothing under incident reports. I'm getting seriously pissed off with theses guys. I was actually wondering if they went bankrupt and had to shut down everything.

I hate Telkom enough to stay with iBurst, but if this continues I'll find another alternative.

CryoBorg - what time did you start experincing problems, i was still connected around 22H00.

/me thinks that they were doing maintenance on their authentication system as subscriber's were able to receive signal from different Basestations.

Then my question will be: everytime they do maintenance on a scheduled date as per their website, they need to have it on writting on their network status page?
