i have 3 hdd connected.
My third one is connected on a ultra pci ide controller. This really speeds up my swap filing and virtual memory in vista. For some reason it works great(instead in series with other hdd.
the pci card is a old pentium 1 or 2 pci card, and i got the drivers through vista repair in the control panel.
If you guyz have something like this lying around and a spare pci slot-----Put it in and plug a hdd in there,You will see some improvments...O{"

I never really meant pagefile stuff, just that it is an improvment overall from the hdd's.
So you go ahead and brag,Cool that you have 4gigs...sometimes i feel like strangling someone...lol

dude its not bragging have u seen 1 gig mem sticks for 250

thats 1k for 4 gig of memory :)

does not break the bank at all

Dealership

Dealership is nice eh, below Sahara priced ram, note: excludes vat.

128X64DDR2800 MEM 1024MB, 800Mhz, DDR2, 240-Pin Memory Module R 225

R225 x 1.14 for VAT = 256.5 x 4 for 4GIG = R1026.00 for 4GIG of RAM

:P

And yes its CPT :P

LOL Killa putting his foot in it again.Maybe i'll save you for once. And BTW i seriously dont know of any other places that have ram cheaper? Unless when cyberdyne have their specials on.

Specials taken from here. His website is digitalsaonline.co.za

Twinmos ram
Chaintech Apogee ram

What brand? And also are we dealers? So whats the point of listing dealer prices....

HYNIX DDR2 800 MEMORY

They asked where I showed them, Killa could not be quoting non dealership figures as hell whoever was selling at that would be cheaper than cost.

J

Well my earlier link for apogee sells DDR2 800 1gb for R238. And cyberdyne list their super talent ram every now and then for a similar price. And i don't think he was referring to dealer prices...otherwise what would the point be of making that statement.

Well even if you shell out R1K for 4GB RAM it's gonna be money wasted since you need a 64bit OS to address all of it. (unless you can "acquire" a 64bit OS by some means ;))
