A new, higher capacity DStv PVR is planned

How about they fix the current PVR first?

I've only had my HD PVR for about 9 months, no way am I going to shell out for another one to use a service I already have to pay extra for. If Multichoice really want to add value they should give us the option of having the hard drive replaced at a Multichoice agent for free/cheap instead of asking us to buy a new decoder.

How about offering an HDD upgrade with a discount for trading in the current drive? or a free upgrade to us loyal customers will be even better!
BTW has the subtitle issue been resolved on HD PVR? If not, how about fixing that first?

Timing is about right. Launch new service. Provide another Decoder - bigger, better, faster, etc - and justify it to sucker people in to buying their new overpriced hardware. It's all about keeping the public hooked and suck 'em into spending more money on Monochoice. Well, my SD PVR is still good and I have no intention of moving from it.

HD-PVR - so much more... "issues".

Bring back a dual-view PVR with a single shared playlist like on the SD PVR. The SD PVR is strill the best PVR out there, besides the lack of HD functionality. It's snappy, fairly stable and has a single playlist that can be accessed from any of the two TV's.

It's just nuts having to schedule stuff on two PVRs so you can have to content availale on both TVs.

Yay! Another piece of stunning technology from NoChoice!

If it works anything as good as their other models it will make a perfect paper weight.

Will it work for me if I am not on Premium? I am on Select 2 and need to replace my hard drive recorder.

I doubt that I will acquire one of these soon... But I'm loving the heat that my local BLOCKBUSTER is feeling at the moment! Every Friday since the launch of this service I receive an SMS on DVD rental specials.

any idea of a release date? Will be buying a pvr this month, maybe today.

Keep your eyes peeled on Channel 100,when they launch one of their viral, brainwashing campaigns.
The problem is that they actually work.People laughed off their VOD service, now they can't seem to keep up with the demand.
He who laughs last.........
