lets say you switch a pc on and it says pointing device error...and the pc stops there,no loading of OS no no sweet nothing...what do you think is the problem if all hardware works 100% on other pc's...

I google and what i have seen ppl say its the cmos battery as the mouse settings are not loading.

Say you pressed f8 while restarting the pc and nothing also happened....what then.

these are the problems we face everyday...you just wanna pull out the little hair you have left:D

What other fixes are there for problems like these that just so simple but makes you wanna commit murder...aarrrghhhh I hate computers:mad:manmadek@K

i can hear the Linux people coming....:)

If another mouse plugged in does'nt work....
Got to be safe mode startup then into devicemanger to uninstall the "pointing device" eh

If no option to boot to safe mode then CD in and Windows Repair?

That'd be what i'd do anyway.

Reminds me of a problem we had on boats where with a GPS input connected, windows would decide to recognize it & install a microsoft pointing device & what happened was the mouse would just bounce around the screen at will....seemed like a virus but was'nt.
