I am going to phone my ISP and if they are hardcapped im going to tell them i want to cancel my account.

By the sounds of things imagine is pretty decent atm, but il do some investigating.
Er unless sum1 wants to save me a phone call and tell me if cybersmart is on saix or IS, so that i know whether they have the ability to change to softcap...

Phone ICASA and complain:
ICASA switchboard: 011 321-8200

Seen a couple of threads on MyADSL where members are getting pro-active. Something we all should be doing IMO. :-)

I have just confirmed that Cybersmart is currently on SAIX. Emailed them earlier today. :(

bleh, im really thinking about going back to dial up ;/

dmostert could you send or post your notification letter from your ISP with all those rates?

I'm thinking about trekking to the U.S. to afford broadband

This friday shall hence forth be known as MASS cancelation friday.

Maybe we should have a MASS funeral for broadband in SA?

Burn a couple of telkom poles... Trash a couple of Telkom vans... ;) It seems to work for the rest of the country ;)

dude, what you got against Bellville ... I lived there!

WTF????

issuses there dude, actually lived in Fish Hoek most of my life, and now in Wynberg ... but Bellville wasn't that bad ... 'cept maybe the overcrowding of "prosies"

You, Bellville bashers, you :p

Come to Bellville and CY :)

I'm thinking of launching a new, high capacity, very high latency wireless solution: Buy harddrives, fly them to the UK, fill em up and fly 'em back down :D

160GB per pop - think about it

Cheers,
D.

LOL... well at R80 a gig * 160 = R12800
ROFL

with 500 gig hard drive or maybe 2 cuz u can thats

R80 * 500 = R40 000 * 2 hard drives = R80 000
