A small prediction

Ninja'd is correct, there is zero chance Zuma will be recalled. ZERO.

Nought.
None.
Nothing.

Especially not in an election year.
Precisely the reason why I think it will happen. they don't want to lose Gauteng and one or two other large areas

Wonder what the official reason will be? Health? Personal reasons?

He is being assigned to the BRICS bank.

....Oh wait....

And if he is recalled, who will replace him? Ramaphosa, who's suddenly dialing up the racial rhetoric? Or Nkosazana Zuma, the most ineffectual politician on the planet? Mbete/Mkhize/Duarte? Which one of these feeble ideologues would be next? Yes, Zuma must go, but there isn't a single one on their NEC that isn't IMHO going to be an equal disaster, except maybe for Gordhan, but that's not going to happen. I think Ramaphosa is highly overrated, btw.

Ramaphosa is no saint especially considering how him and the ANC fat cats grabbed BEE shares destined for the average black South African for themselves, but him and Nkosazana Zuma will be huge improvements over Zuma none the less.

Yeah I dunno OP, I think you're being just a tad over-optimistic with this predication.

I would have agreed... then the MK vets went and made their statement where the call for Zuma to be removed was later redacted...

Now I'd say all bets are off. Anything could happen.

The problem is what comes after Zuma....

Our deputy president is one guy you do not want to give control to my friend.

We'll be swapping a medieval tribal chieftain for a champagne communist. At least the former's motives are obvious. The latter tends to be way more insidious (and dangerous).

Exactly Zuma is predictable and thus the safe lesser of the two evils whereas our deputy president is ruthless anti everything that isn't black and will kill for it kinda thing, a thing I don't want to risk seeing in a position of power.

If you want mugabe/Zim and Mozambique like ruling in SA then give this thing control.

People say yea it will never happen in South Africa, my friend what makes South Africa different from the rest of Africa where this is already common place.

klippies & coke ?

I just want the laughing clown gone, we can deal with the next disaster when it is in office.

I don't think we will have to wait more than a maximum of 6 more weeks for major change in government.

Looks like they are hastening things along now and tightening the screws.

Just resurrecting to say "I told you it wouldn't happen" :p

Wish we put some money on it :D
