A tough week for electricity ahead

The power grid will be severely constrained for the rest of the week, parastatal Eskom said on Tuesday.

Why are we always approx 15k offline all the bloody time? Always hit 30k demand and load shedding kicks in, its been years like this, where is that 15k out of the 45k capacity that just seems to have disappeared? I understand maintenance etc, but it seems we've lost 15k generating capacity that is never repaired, fixed or brought back online.

Daily Load shedding update Bull!!!!!

Why not just load shed and get done with all the maintenance backlog? I'm so tired of having to constantly check what the latest "update" on load shedding is, every day for how long?
