Activator - assign screen gestures and button press combinations to do a multitude of actions, from launching apps to controlling the iPod application.
Alphacon - control the transparency of your icons on the springboard, dock, and switcher independently of each other.
Animate - if you are running a 4.3.x jailbreak using @i0n1c's untether then this tweak adds animated boot logo capabilities to your iPad. There are lots to choose from in Cydia, my personal favourite being "Animate Apple".
Auto Location - Turns the GPS on your iPad on whenever an app requests location services and off again when it is closed.
BackBoard - Change your icon layout a lot? This app is for you. It saves as many different layouts and configurations as you like and lets you apply, update, or delete them as required. Essential for the compulsive themer!

Did you get a 4s bwana?
I'm getting 2 days out of a single charge on my 4 but when I talk about efficiency I'm referring more to an over all index which would include all aspects of the user experience and how tweaking and modding enhances that experience.
Where most users will leave bluetooth, 3G and wifi on all day cause it's too much trouble to go into the settings menu's each time to switch it off/on the user with sbsettings installed will toggle off/on when the features are required. The net result is greater mileage out of a single charge.
Using iFile I could edit and delete 6 crash report plists located in the LauncherDaemon folder. Since doing this battery life seems to have improved. Also deactivated the search spotlight feature and the associated plist...
There is also a Cydia tweak out for a fix to the battery issues plaguing the 4s (which forms part of the 5.1 beta...) but it costs $4.99...

Apple have done an amazing job at creating a one size fits all OS but the jailbreak community has done an equally amazing job of hacking the OS and developers have been expressing themselves and the net results are just stupendous!!!

No, I keep putting it off. ATM I've just got an iPad and iPad2.
I've been using my notifications drop-down to do all that for a while now - unfortunately the app seems to have been pulled from the iTS.
I've got nothing against jailbreaking (I've done it in the past) so if I see something I can't live without I'm happy to put the effort in.

I find a lot of the time there is something you consciously missing (like Dolby and the 20mb 3G limit or a 5 row keyboard) but other times you read about a particular tweak which ordinarily you wouldn't have thought about but in theory and practice it makes perfect sense. Fakeclockup is one such tweak.

ok, I want to JB my ipad2, but some forums say it voids the warranty and others say you just have to restore to default to remove the jailbreak and you'll be fine, others say restoring will brick the ipad... so can someone explain to me if it is possible to JB it and then restore to default if I want to send it in for repairs or something?

Firstly, your iPad won't need RMA. Those things are bulletproof. Secondly restoring from jb is cake. Just put it into DFU mode and do shift + restore ipad in iTunes.

Correct. Jb voids warranty. Period.
However, if your pad suffers a catastrophic failure the 1st thing the repair centre will do is a restore.
A successful restore would wipe any traces of a jail break.
