Aaaand lvl 6 again

Yeah, I missed that bit of news. Was in a meeting trying to find a cell signal. I dont understand how demand can be that great. Even with 24000MW lost. How can we be at stage 6.

Because we were at stage 4? Losing that makes us stage 6.

I say stage 6 on Christmas day, 8 if we lucky. ANC need to make the situation worse in order to increase votes, because they will tell voters "we will totally fix it this time".

Whats also weird is that project and restoration to services plans are never shared with the public as well.

I would love to see how they plan and what they prioritise.

Also in all seriousness, what are the timeline horizons for every repair that is required to be done.

Say for example Unit 1 needs 20 things done. What is the plan and times road blockers and others for each of those 20 things.
How about you e-mail eksdom and ask?

It's amazing how many of the sheep believe that it's purely because of De Ruyter that this is happening. He personally went last night and ****ed up 8 units just to be ****ing spiteful.

This is the type of mentality that has led to South Africa being where it is currently abd this mentatily will last forever in this country

Its a public holiday, all big business have shut down for the holidays and they still dont have capacity
Liars

I'm sitting here scrolling through Twitter watching people around my area who've been going without power now for 36+ hours.
The phrase "die p**s in" doesn't quite describe the anger (you know it's bad when afrikaans fails you).

Now I can just hope when they're switched on the whole thing doesn't just go *poof*.
Things are rough out there.

Jirr, when Koeberg is down and those OCGTs finally run dry we're all in for a moerse surprise.
Please do keep telling me how a blackout is extremely unlikely and load-shedding is doing its job.... please go on...

If a blackout happens while no-one has any power, did the blackout really happen?

They are living lekker, its been how many months and they are still being exempt from loadshedding due to their "fragile" power infrastructure
Erm. We do get loadshedding. But it's still not fair as we only get it from stage 4 and up. Not loadshedding us is just a means to cover the city's incompetence in fixing and maintaining equipment. Also, don't swim in the sea when your visiting Durban this December and only drink water you buy from a reputable store.

How far is repair work in Dbn BTW?

Last I heard hardly anything is done and funds aren't even released yet?

That said your free ride has got to end sometime. It can't go on forever.

Joburgers need to man tf up too. A little rain and all of a sudden the world is ending. 150m in damages is a far cry from 25b and 460 deaths.

Not the entire JHB is being exempt, only areas that were worst hit. You have room to talk about manning up, I'm pretty sure after 5 days of no power you'd be crying like a little girl as well.
So how about before making stupid comments actually check things first. Also where did you get 150m from it's 120m just on some roads?

Was on ENCA interview yesterday afternoon while I was eating pizza.

It was good.

The pizza that is.
