So, was watching the Indy race Las Vegas last weekend and, for obvious reasons, my weekend was ruined.
Then, turned on the TV to watch the racing from Sepang this morning and...
Missed most of the NZ/France game waiting for updates and at 3:56 local time the announcement came... Marco had passed away due to injuries sustained in the accident with Edwards and Rossi.
RIP young man... What a loss for MotoGP and Motorsport.

S.H.I.T. !!! He was one of the riders I really enjoyed watching. When I saw his helmet come off I knew it was bad.

R.I.P.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When did this happen :(?
About an hour ago. He was sliding off in a corner after losing his bike (he was still on) and slid straight in front of Colin Edwards who then hit him (not his bike) in the back. Rossi just missed them both.

Just watched the clip again. Rossi might have collided with him as well.

Yep, real racer. Fastest non factory Honda rider out there and this, a week after his podium finish in Australia. Ben Spies was saying Simoncelli had to get creative overtaking in the minor classes 'cos of how big he was but I liked that. He did a SBK race last year on an Aprilia and was super impressive there too... So much of upset right now.

EDIT: Last week it was Wheldon, lap 11, turn 2... this week Simoncelli, lap 2, turn 11.

Huh, the link says something about copyright infringement. WTF, the poor dude just died and they are claiming copy infringement over his accedent? Fusking corperate bastards.

Although, I think it's for the best, I hate seeing accedents.

In any event, RIP.

You tube it, there are lots of vids. Sure it's RIP, but what is is with people that say he was a great rider.

He was a maniac, took out too many people and was the cause of several previous accidents. Lucky he hasn`t killed anyone else
in the process. If you search you tube you`ll find a vid that shows what happened, he lost it in the corner, and instead of going
out (he was on his way to the grass) he tried to pull it back to the track even though he was completely off the bike, he could
have killed both Edward and Rossi.

He was not a responsible rider, I`ve been saying he was gonna kill someone since the start of the season. It was bound to happen with his style of riding.
