Absa Adsl

Let's mass spam ABSA back to show them what we feel...get like a lot of random absa employee emails and just spam. They need to get the point of leaving us alone.

Just replied to them all, to stick to their banking $%^& , and not mess up the internet like they did last time with their freeeeeee internet
Followed ur steps...Also sent them one...maybe I'll do this everyday.

hey, I wonder if you can block ABSA spam with the spam filter they advertise *evil grin*
"You also get a backup analogue username and password for free, a Web mail and calendaring facility plus optional anti-spam filtering."

also got the spam, wondering how the hell they have my addy.

I'm also wondering how they got my addy.
We need to find out what's common with all of us.

I've had axxess and saol as my ISPs, I have a Gmail account and I'm NOT an absa client.

I think noswal hit the nail on the head. Has everyone here had money transferred to their bank account from someone with an absa account, and then been mailed a proof of payment from ABSA? I know I have...

Why the hell is ABSA selling ADSL accounts?? If they are allowed to sell adsl accounts, then I should be allowed to start a bank.

I haven't had money transferred to me from anyone with an absa account.

Just got a spam mail from ABSA about their new ADSL package. Thought it could be decently priced...Guess I'm wrong. For 3 Gigs R225/month for ABSA customers and R250/month for non-Absa Customers...Think should just stick with Axxess.

You mean a country can have more than one telecommunications company?? :D

i have an Absa ADSL 3 gig account, but for the last two weeks have not been able to surf internationally. Has anyone any idea why this should be the case. Absa say it is not their fault and Telkom says my line is fine so who is to blame or is this a general fault for everyone. i am now thinking of changing my isp:confused:

Have you maybe gone over your 3GB cap already? ABSA seem to have a soft cap. My soft cap kicked in today. Unfortunately the only way to check is to call their help line and ask.

I subscribe to ABSA too, but included in the R225.00 is a pretty good dial-up service, which I use while on the road.

the email sent out did not originate from absa, nor did it have their consent... this should be clear in the headers... this is what you get when some IT companies (or rather online digital retailers (digitalplanet)) does not know how to manage list software or even set it up correctly...

as indicated in various other replies, go the section 45 route and see what falls out of the tree... rules are rules, no matter who you are...

i just think the way some of the forum users jump on the first available cart, is a tad ridicules .. and amusing ;-)

but oh well

j.

... the usual disclaimer about stable networks not growing on trees, and that i type this email up while on my own little planet ...
