So the new ABSA App for android has been released.

Can anyone using the new ABSA app check whether they can login to the app. I keep getting 'failure to link field imei' but under about phone I can see the imei number. I have already linked to my online profile.

I can't get past the login screen. I get an sms saying I've logged in, but no further. Nexus 7, stock 4.2.2.

Downloaded, installed, verified and no further issues. Much better than logging into web console.
The misses works for Absa and she didn't even know it had been release to the public... :)
Had to send her the articles to prove it was an official release from Absa.

My phone works fine, the Nexus gives the error mentioned by the OP, even though it's been registered with Absa. They probably use the imei associated with a device having a SIM card for security purposes. My Nexus doesn't have a 3g module :(

Tech phoned and mentioned there are quite aot of people experiencing the same issues. He has sent the bug report to the developers to determine what the issue is. I still think its a bug relating how the app picks up the imei number on the phone, which might be different between android version 4.1.2 and 4.2.2. My wifes iOS worked fine first time.

UPDATE: all working now since latest update.
