Hi does anyone know why an eft from FNB TO ABSA will take 4 days or even longer? Saturday 25 April... till today nothing???

From FNB to another bank takes 24h during normal business hours.

I've found that doing it during a weekend can take up to 48 hours AND yesterday was also a Public Holiday, which also affects it.

I don't understand why the systems are set up like this, but it is.

It should reflect after 12pm today.

There was a weekend and a public holiday. So it will clear today.

Getting eft's to clear on weekends or public holiday is just too much to ask from a bank.

But they can grab your home loan payment on New Years Eve...go figure.
